“I loved this sewing class. I am SO glad I took it and signed up for the bundle–I can’t wait for the next two classes in the series. Thank you for offering the bundle. Our instructor taught us the basics in day one and took us to the store to show us what we will need during our sewing journey. Then in classes two and three we were able to work on projects we cared about. That is HUGE! She guided me through making a pattern, making a placemat, reading a store pattern, and making a dress for my daughter. Normal beginner sewing classes would never focus on those things but that’s what I care about making. She is amazing! Maryse moves from one person to the next giving feedback and helping us all on our own projects.”

Meet Maryse Vallancourt-Prescott – Sewing Instructor
Maryse has always enjoyed sewing: from designing and sewing her own clothes in high school, to working with the theater department at Dartmouth College, where she learned pattern drafting, designing and sewing costumes. Maryse also lived in California, where she worked with the costume designer for the beloved Miss Piggy! Later, Maryse developed an interest in quilting. While she teaches traditional quilting, she also developed her own style of quilting and teaches this creative process for designing and sewing art quilts. She also enjoys multi-media art to include fiber arts, mixed media and recycling/re-purposing materials to create beautiful works of art.
